Yeshua at the Temple
The account of Yeshua at the age of 12 is found in the Gospel of Luke 2:41-52. During the Feast of Passover, Yeshua's family traveled to Jerusalem. After the feast, as they were returning home, Mary and Joseph realized that Yeshua was not with them. They returned to Jerusalem and found Him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking questions. Everyone who heard Him was amazed at His understanding and His answers.
This event is significant for several reasons:
1. Demonstration of Wisdom:
Despite His young age, Yeshua displayed remarkable wisdom and understanding. His questions and answers amazed the learned teachers in the temple. This reminds us that true wisdom comes from God and can be evident at any age.
2. Commitment to Learning:
Yeshuaâs presence in the temple shows His dedication to learning and understanding the Scriptures. As students, we can take inspiration from His commitment to seek knowledge and grow spiritually.
3. Obedience to God:
When Mary and Joseph found Yeshua, He said, "Did you not know that I must be about My Fatherâs business?" (Luke 2:49). This statement reflects His awareness of His divine mission and obedience to Godâs will. It encourages us to align our studies and life goals with Godâs purpose for us.
Inspiration for a Student in Holy Faith
Yeshuaâs example at the temple offers valuable lessons for students today:
1. Pursue Wisdom:
Like Yeshua, we should seek wisdom and understanding in studies. Approach the education with curiosity and a desire to learn, knowing that knowledge is a gift from God. Though seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness are the first steps to see the Light of His Loving kindness in being submissive to His heavenly Fatherâs good will to send him for helping the human kind fallen from its true nature. He was conceived in His motherâs womb by the faith she had in Godâs prophecies in the Spirit of Holiness.
2. Stay Committed:
Dedication and commitment to the studies are essential. Even when it gets challenging, remember Yeshuaâs example of being diligent and focused on His purpose. For those who are faithful in the little gifted in the Kingdom of God, the result evaluation is truly before Almighty God though one might receive an applause in accordance with oneâs work from those who are being led in the Holy Spirit gifted by Abba El in the name of Yeshua Messiah.
3. Align with Godâs Will:
Strive to align the studies and career goals with Godâs will for your life. Seek His guidance in the decisions and trust that He shall not abandon even in the unlit ignorant areas if seeking His Kingdom from a born again perspective.
